Hi guys,

I received the ITA in May 2018 & I submitted my application in Aug 2018. Further, I received request for additional documents on 08th Jan 2018 which I submitted on 15th Jan 2018. The following is the status appearing:-

Review of eligibility:- We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results:-
Review of additional documents:- Not applicable.
Interview:- You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics:- We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check:- We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision:- Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

What does "Not Applicable" status meet?

It is a placeholder status, doesn't mean anything. Most statuses in GCKey don't mean much(beyond medical results and Biometrics). Use tracker to keep tabs on background check and eligibility. The only other thing that's helpful in GCKey is if you see a date in Final Decision (which likely means approval for most).

Hi all,

We have had the following status on our PR (FSW) application since August 23, 2024:
Final Decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

It has been about four months since then, and we have not received any additional messages regarding the application. While the tracker shows the COPR number, it also indicates that the eligibility check for my spouse has not yet started.

Our AOR is July 11, 2024, and we applied from within Canada. I contacted IRCC, but the call agent mentioned they couldn’t assist further, although they confirmed that the application is marked as completed in their system.

I will appreciate any guidance or advice on what can be done.

Eligibility for the dependent will always show as not started even after you become PR! If the PA's eligibility is completed, it means, both the PA and the dependent's eligibility have been completed accumulatively! I'd suggest to raise a webform as well and reach out to the MP! Hopefully, you'll get everything sorted soon enough! All the best!
