My Father had stent in the heart done in 2012, will it cause any issue for the medical examination ?
I don't think so. It is not a contagious disease that could put Canadian public at risk. and I hope your father lives a long healthy life.

I See this on their website about PCC.
You don’t need to give us police certificates for any period of time before you were 18 years old or for time spent in Canada.

i am confused ,if we need to do canada RCMP,anyone in similar situation please help ?
Sorry I wasn't aware that that's what it says on the website.

It depends. for PGP, the medical need to pass not only for contagious disease (would applies to spousal sponsorship) but they cannot have condition that would need excessive medical demand. And that applies to PGP applicants, and their dependents. (as well as new PR applications under other economic streams)
But if the procedure was done so many years ago and he is in good condition, then there shouldn't be anything to worry about. At the end, there is nothing you can really do now. Do not try to hide that from the medical exam because they can find out. And if so, it would be misrepresentation for not disclosing it.

Seeking Guidance: Exemption for Medical Exam for Non-Accompanying Dependent in PGP Application

Hello everyone,

My wife and I are sponsoring my mother-in-law (Principal Applicant) under the Parent and Grandparent Program (PGP). As part of the application, my father-in-law is listed as a non-accompanying dependent. Recently, IRCC requested both of them to undergo medical exams and provide Police Clearance Certificates (PCC).

The challenge is that my father-in-law is unable to travel long distances due to a severe phobia of air travel and health concerns related to long road journeys. The nearest designated medical facility is about 10 hours away by road, which he cannot handle. He is only comfortable traveling short distances to nearby cities.

We understand the consequences of not completing the medical exam for him and are seeking advice on how to request an exemption. My father-in-law is fully aware that being exempted from the medical exam could impact his eligibility for sponsorship under the Family Class in the future. Despite this, he wishes to proceed with the exemption request and is willing to provide the Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) as requested.

My mother-in-law, the Principal Applicant, has no issues traveling to complete her medical exam and is also willing to provide the Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) as requested.

How should we properly explain this situation to IRCC to request an exemption for my father-in-law's medical exam? Any guidance or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!
Can some Please advise on the above

Hi
You can write an email to IRCC or send a web form explaining your situation.
The email address should be on the email you received for PCC in the 'Methods of Submitting Documents' section because PCC also needs to send them through the email they mentioned there.
Or else you can send a letter explaining your situation through web form.
Make sure you write a letter and make a PDF less than 5MB SIZE, then send it to them via webform or Email.
after sending them a letter or web form make sure to call IRCC after a few days if they have received your letter or web form because sometimes they don't get the web form and you need to resend them but the email is received within 1-2 days.

Finally the email I've been waiting for - PR was confirmed!!! I'm replying to the email for them to issue the CoPR, it requires me to state the original entry date, however, i'm not sure what this would be. My mother has been in Canada with me since last year however, she had gone to India for a month in April. Would the date she entered Canada this year be the one I should enter? Since she was on a supervisa, trying to figure out what date I should enter. It also asks to enter the last time I entered Canada. Would the 2 dates be the same in this case?

Hello! What visa office processed your file and when did you get the final decision update? I am waiting for the P1 email since the final decision in July.

Mississauga office. Seems like they're the fastest ones to process. PCC was stuck in India for months, everything else was submitted, so it took much longer.
