Just be happy for me man. If only you know how many times I tried and the work I had to put in to get it finally approvedI am pretty sure he is not doing anything "illegal" but I can bet he swore in his SOP he will return to his home country after finishing the "1 year course" but lo and behold , he is not taking the course to return to his home country. Why not just apply for the 2 year course from the get-go?
You need to talk to your school about the change in program. Assume you have admission to the new program so ask school to apply for new PAL (or if required). You should do this before coming to Canada.Could you kindly post the link where this was stated. I have been searching the government website but can’t really find it. Your current PAL is based on program and you were approved for a study permit based on attending your project management degree. If you switch programs without completing a semester in the authorized course you are essentially applying for a new study permit. Would speak to your schoolCould you kindly post the link where this was stated. I have been searching the government website but can’t really find it. My bad what I wrote was really unnecessary. Good luck on your new journey manJust be happy for me man. If only you know how many times I tried and the work I had to put in to get it finally approved
It is an issue though. You were granted PAL and a study permit to attend a specific grogram and school. What school are you attending? What program do you have PAL for and what do you want to change to?I have contacted my school about changing my program and they said I can do it immediately after I arrive Canada as long as there is still space in the new program. However, they could not confirm if I can switch from a postgraduate certificate to a college certificate/college diploma. Will switching to a lower program or one with a longer duration be a problem?
You need to apply for a new study permit. That is a substantial change in type of program and field of study.I have PAL in project management. The college said they can only issue the PAL once and if I want to switch I should make sure my current LOA is valid when I enter Canada. I want to switch to social service worker. It’s a 2 year Ontario college diploma
Dual intent is really legitimate in Canada for that type of application.Good luck getting your permit approved saying that lol
Can you kindly post the link where this rule is stated that you must apply for a new study permit if you are already in Canada and want to change program within the same DLI.You need to apply for a new study permit. That is a substantial change in type of program and field of study.
