Did you also receive a separate SA letter?AIP RECEIVED: OCT 28 2024
Medicals updated: COMPLETED Oct 30 2024 .. ps Medicals was never requested....well im guessing they pulled/ used medicals Principal applicant did in 2022 for study permit... and no we do not have a copy of the Medicals and so we never had to send it in through web form as some did. So yea... this is good... Lol.
Could someone shed some light on
- Does every sponsor receive a separate sponsor approval (SA)?
- Those who have received a separate SA, what was the content/message written in it?
- Does getting an AIP (to PA) implicitly mean a positive decision on sponsorship application, as in, the sponsor was also found eligible to sponsor (an implicit SA)?
No I did notDid you also receive a separate SA letter?
We also got a ghost update on a Friday (not for medicals though) and then on Saturday we got an email with AIP then on the following Monday the tracker got updated once again showing Eligibility completed. Is there a way to find out what a ghost update might mean? We got a medicals request on Oct 24 and a ghost update on Nov 1, but cannot think of anything that may have caused the ghost update. Any ideas?

There can be multiple reasons for ghost updates, behind the scenes multiple agencies' are working like background check , police verification etc. If any one of them updates their info on your application, then also you might get a ghost update. Can be anything. Until you are getting Ghost updates its good. it means your application is moving. Is there a way to find out what a ghost update might mean? Thank you, that makes a lot of sense. In our case, the eligibility was completed long before this Nov 1 ghost update, and we had the AIP and SA come through before that. So we know we're almost there... what I'm trying to do is gauge when the eCoPR will come. It's been quite the intense climb, so to speak, and still more to go, so will be nice to have this long-going summit completed soon.
Submitted on May 6. All stages (AOR, biometrics, medical, pre-arrival, eligibility, SA) are done. Patiently waiting for the background check to be complete
No. As said before, it's irrelevant if this was an innocent mistake. This is a fatal error with permanent consequences.
Again, you were not examined as part of HIS application. This means you can never be sponsored by him. You were required to go through medical and background / security checks as part of HIS application not only to be included as a spouse for future sponsorship but also for HIS PR application to be approved. Technically he committed misrepresentation (lying in his application) by failing to declare you and add you to his application before landing.
You can keep asking the same question but the answer is not going to change. This was an extremely extremely serious error for your husband to make and, as said above, one with permanent consequences.
Feel free to get advice from a lawyer. However IMO this is a complete waste of money and you should be directing your efforts and focus on figuring out how to qualify for PR on your own through an economic immigration program.
