Applied SP+SOWP on April 8th, but we got background check. How can we know the progress of Background check?

Hi all, I just a correspondent letter for study extension and spouse open sowp extension few minutes ago. No update for my two children yet.
We applied May 27th.
I think it’s May’s turn now.

I have applied on 18 june 2024 solo study permit extension application. I have not received any decision yet. I got graduated in august and my study permit expired on 31st july 2024. I cannot able to work and I haven’t applied PGWP yet as I have heard on implied status that we cannot work until made a decision on pgwp. So what to do now?

You just wait for your approval and remember you also need CELPIP to apply for PGWP now

Update: my first daughter’s extension was approved few hours ago. Still waiting for the rest of the family.

Hi. None as of yet. Do they really process it in random order and not by the order the application was submitted? I understand that it is faster to process single application, but I do not know how they process family application since they were already processing the ones submitted at a later date than the others.

It’s confusing and nerve racking. It might also be according to the agent your file was assigned to. I applied with my family May 11th and not updates (total silence) I have sent webforms and contacted my city MP and nothing. I stopped working two months ago, my husband is the only one working and from one of his jobs, he was asked an update of his WP or they would not give him more shifts after Nov 7th. I don’t know what to do.

Praying for that. I’ve already finished my program and just waiting for the SP extension to not to apply for PGWP and get stuck in the maintained status and don’t be able to work for several months. I’m waiting for that to happen before Nov 30th
