Hey. Thanks for the reply. The passport status hasn't changes since 8th October and I am becoming anxious now due to the conflicts going on. It's still on fees and application recieved since 8th of October.Hi,
I will write general answers that could resolve some doubts. @Sum19 @hardikpatel65 @Sid.shaz
If possible, one should apply through BLS walking, the process is much faster and it will for sure save you 3-4 days with your application timeline.
For me, it took around 42 days to get the passport delivered at home(Pick up if you cannot wait for another 2 days to get it delivered at home.). After you see Granting Initiated status, then it is a matter of a couple of weeks as the passport will be printed in the next 4-5 days.
You will see status changing almost every other day.
After initiation, it is -Granting Status Set as 'Clear --> "Print Initiated'-->Printed-->Dispatch Initiated-->Passport sent by CPPF to Issuing Mission\/Post.
the status changes every 25-30 hours after printing is initiated.
Once it is dispatched to the High Commission, you will see the tracking number attached, it is mostly DHL, track it via aftership and you will receive it within a week.
and for travel purposes, your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the return date of your trip. So, it is better to wait, who knows if they would not let you travel at all because of it. Better to be safe when it comes to the expiration of important documents.
If you are on Visitor status then it will be 2 years,
For people on valid Work Permit-5 years,
That is normal. You have a month-long wait ahead of you. The conflict won't stop the renewals but you have to wait. PSK will process it as soon as they can.Hey. Thanks for the reply. That is a close timeline. I would suggest you to contact the Embassy you fall in. Technically you should have it in next 10-15 days as per the status change timelines, but if does not then make sure you have a plan B on how to proceed and that will be contacting embassy. Even BLS wont know anything.Thank you @popoye for the detailed reply, my problem is that my status is tuck at "EMP_ACTION": "Sent To Go", I applied on 25th September.
