I submitted my PR application 2 months back and waiting for BIL. 2 days back I received an email from IRCC ""We updated your application status", however, when checked i found my WP BIL details updated on my PR application, but no BIL. As far as I know BIL is mandatory.
Can someone guide what it means?
Why old Biometrics are updated on my PR application?
Am I going to received BIL?
How long it usually takes?

You can use Google to find the right IRCC link and check if your old biometrics are still valid. A friend of mine forgot to gave biometrics, he was still approved as they ended up linking his old biometrics that were still valid.

If they want to send, they'll send, if they don't, that's fine too. All you care about is the approval. There's no fixed timeline for BIL.

Not sure but it seems suspicious to me. All our knowns are getting their BIL, even those who submitted application before us. We called at IRCC helpline, they have no answer to it and asked to wait. I feel stuck as I am not finding anyone who experienced or experiencing same situation. Not sure how to act.

For the express entry you will get a BIL anyway eventually as you have to submit your biometrics again even if you have a valid one.

But its been more than 2 months i submitted my application and haven't received BIL so far. what should i do?

It happens, it can take up to 3 months and more.

I'd not worry about others getting BIL as we don't have first-in, first-out processing with IRCC. So comparing processing times/progress won't be helpful.

I know someone who forgot to respond to a BIL (gave BIL earlier) and got his PR. If IRCC wants to use your old biometrics and not send out BIL, that's fine, if they do, that's fine.

You are likely to get a BIL in my opinion.

Yup, it's normal but expect a BIL anyway.
