Finally got the oath ceremony email also. May 2 virtual ceremony

Is it normal that my background is taking almost a month now? I called them today and the agent said that it is still with a third party for processing. What does that mean?

very normal. it could be right after LLP done or just a couple of days before the oath date. Mine came 2-3days before oath

different agents produce different results so try reaching out on different days/times and get an agent willing to look into your file. most however will say they can't do anything but you just need one who's helpful.

unfortunately yes, as it's case by case basis. CSIS CBSA and RCMP all chime in.

Unfortunately I had 0 luck with agents.. Seems like some of them read from an outdated GCMS notes while some others don't even make an effort to pull out notes and just spell out information that is in the tracker.

Received email for Oath today. Timeline below for Calgary office
Application submitted: Family of 2 December 8th 2023
AOR: December 28th 2023
Test completed: January 30th, 31st 2024 for spouse
Fingerprint Requested for both of us: January 31st 2024
Fingerprint given: February 5th 2024
Fingerprint received February 21st 2024
Background check completed: March 28th 2024
LPP completed: April 15th 2024
Oath invitation: April 25th
Ceremony: May 14 2024

i applied online on Dec 18th 2023
AOR: Jan 4th 2024
I did my citizenship test on Feb 2nd.
finally my background check completed today.
hopefully, my schedule will follow yours

is your LPP done for all the family members on same day ? or LPP done to primary applicant and then later to spouse , kids ?

How to check email that where it came from. On my AOR it says at the bottom. Case processing center Sydney. And i Got my AOR on Jan 4 2024. Only Test status is green. I dont know what to do

Good day! A friend of mine who applied last dec with a minor received an email about canadian register for citizenship ecertificate. The principal applicant already registered. However should that person also register separate one for the kid who is a minor < 18 yrs old? Thank you in advance !
