I did refugee, and got my pr during covid through the portal. Never got my passport back. Do i need it to apply for citizenship or i can just write a letter to let them know cbsa still has it?

No you don’t need it. On your citizenship application indicate that your passport was confiscated when you claimed asylum and CBSA is still in possession of your passport.

After granted citizenship, will we automatically get the passport back? Or should we ask for it? Same for me, never get back after PR, but I have the seizure document (its seized back in 2019 by Missisauga IRCC)
