Received Medical Request. Can I still be rejected based on eligibility?

I am from Bangladesh and recently received a medical request. I have seen tons of threads regarding this topic most of which says visa is probably approved but in all honesty I do not want to get ahead of myself. I wanna stay optimistic but not too much. So I would like to know if anyone has been rejected after medical exam was requested which they passed, on the grounds of eligibility?
Note: I checked IRCC tracker and my eligibility says completed but I have not received any decision. It will probably come after I have passed the medical exam.

i also received medical request from IRCC after eligibility being completed. i passed my medical on the May 19th and have ever since be waiting for my BVL and PPR. Its going to be almost 3 weeks now after clearing my medical, eligibility and biometrics, background is in progress since the start of my application submission.

for NON-SDS i have seen medical request is a positive sign but you never know what goes on during the process.

Yes study permits can be denied after completing a medical.
