It seems like almost everyone got a ghost update today. I don't believe this one means anything unfortunately

That is a bummer. Thanks for pointing out though. I was already suspicious given the fact that the update happened at a time which is not usual.

I guess I will have to stay positive a little while longer. Can all who got an update, post their processing office?

Trying to figure out if it was a batch update from Scarborough or just an entire system wide refresh which could have triggered an update for everyone.

I have received oath letter and email about oath ceremony ..but did not receive any separate email with instructions to download e certificate? How do I create an account before as I haven’t received instructions?

You didn't get GU today? Check again

You are right, l logged in to the application and it says "Updated on Oct 27", but no indication of what the update is for

Hey everyone, just joined this forum. Here's my timeline and I have question,

Test Taken: October 10, 2023

It's been 10+ days and my test is still marked "In Progress" after completed, I passed the test with 20/20 marks?
My Office is(IRCC.WestCitizenshipEApp-EappOUESTCitoyennete.IRCC@cic.gc.ca).
Should I reach out to email above to request update on test completion? What do you guys recommend?

No update after that. Are any Vancouver folks on the same boat?

Received what I suppose a "Ghost update" today. Nothing new was added, only the date was changed to today's. Seems like Halloween special lol.
Processing office is west, I think is Vancouver.

One thing you can do is call IRCC and check if they received your oath form.

Lol this worked like a charm, gave them a call earlier today to confirm if they received it and a couple of minutes later my e-certificate was available for download. Could be just a very well timed coincidence though.

Hi I got a GU too. I thought it had to do with my full passport scan request that came on wednesday but seems like Halloween refresh. My office is West (Vancouver or Edmonton). If its Edmonton I think its already cold enough for CIC folks to go into hybernation. lol

Got GU and test status is now completed. It also says 4 new updates.

I think its a batch update, as so many received ghost updates today. Next week, we will know the actual updates. My test status was in progress for long time and it got changed to completed.

I wish it was a batch update and am hoping that it does turn out that way. But the characteristics do not match a regular GU. In other threads, some folks whose citizenship ceremony is over got a GU. Also the timing was non-standard. The update did not happen at 5 ET as usual but around 3 hours later.

To maintain sanity and to not have to deal with anxiety of anticipation, I think it is best to ignore today's GU. Just my 2 cents.

If something happens soon, awesome. If not, this was a Happy Halloween ghost update.
