Hello, I was wondering if anyone can tell me current PRTD application process via the online portal. Completed my application upon landing (expired PR card whilst traveling) and this was July 7.
What happens next? Submitted box highlighted and nothing else. No confirmation email, no follow up next step, I’m staring at a screen and there is no one to call to even check if I have done it all incorrectly?
Any help? Thank you!

Do you meet the residency requirement? Had you applied for a new PR card before leaving? Do you continue to meet 730 days out of the last 5 years? Where did you apply from?

Thanks and hello!
yes I meet the residency requirement
I had posted my paper application for pr prior to flying out (26 June - with notification of paper application received august 9)
Yes I was out of the country for total 530 days in last 5 years
I applied from australia upon landing (my trip was urgent, attached doctor form to each application)

I’m confused as I have read on other forums that there was email communication about taking the passport to nearest visa office etc and the response rate for action required was much faster than this
I would not think my applications would be conflicting?

Would suggest contacting your MP in Canada and explain your situation and provide copy or medical letter. Have you been contacting the Canadian embassy in Australia embassy/consulate or IRCC? They would suggest contacting embassy in Australia.

Would also suggest always filling out Applications online not on paper. The only reason paper is still an option is because some may not be computer literate (especially some seniors) and some may not have the funds to own a tablet or computer or have access to the internet. Online is the preferred method of submitting applications and the faster way.

Update ****
my husband has been advocating for me with local MP - having them look into my PR card renewal application - advice from them To keep waiting and check back. Not really the response we had hoped for so further probing with another letter so we will see how that pans out.
As of this evening a request for my passport to be sent to nearest visa application centre here in Australia. I got the email and will take immediate action tomorrow (currently now the weekend so I anticipate some days lag for this). This makes me think the PRTD gods have spoken. An online portal check still says ‘submitted’ on my prtd application so my most recent email is more up to date. Anywhere from 2-3 weeks is expected time I can look to fly … beyond excited to have family reunited!
