Some basics before creating a new thread

I will like to wade into this debate too...I agree it is an open forum...the thing is when u r a newbie, the tendency to create an unnecessary thread is high...it is left to the regulars to direct such newbies to the right thread to avoid this 'clogging' of the forum. For instance I direct anyone with questions on social work to the social work thread created by Nashe or a very general topic to the most popular thread 'post June 26 2010'so that with time, the not so newbie knows where to go without creating another thread. Honestly the search strategy doesn't work for me cos it mostly retrieves outdated info....Mandie

Hi,

I suggest there should be a proper subject related to the question or topic posted.
Some of post headings are only showing :
Hi,
Urgent,
Help me,
All applicants
Some one advice.

It would help the readers which is not difficult to show the subject in two, three or more words.
Hi Wilson,

There are more heading than what you have specified here and its really of no importance....

I refer to specific 2 or 3 threads for my reference (such as Dubai Applicants, May-2010 applicants) which suits my case.

I dont create other threads as all my answers lies in this thread.

Regards
Cool

@ Coolguy, u r very right! I am also a regular of 2-3 threads cos these are where my interests lie (May 2011 thread, social work thread, and the post June 26 2010 any NOC thread), but it doesn't happen overnight to know which threads to go to unless someone directs u there...Mandie

@ Mandiebraxton,
I quite agree with you, it can be tedious for a newbie to wade through all the different threads in search of answers......

@ you!!

Don't try to be personal and impose your rules on me. It is my right to ask anything I like or create any topic. You people have spent some time here so new ideas are coming into your mind about disicipline. Think of newbies here who don't even know how to search this forum or look for a specific topic. Amagine yourself when you were new and what you used to do. Gesus Christ don't try to strict it and let people do what they like; that is the definition of public forum anyway. This forum is also not the personal property of any one who wants it to be what they like it to be. If you don't like any one's question or thread just ignore.

I remember this idea was also raised by some one before as well but it failed and forum is same as before. Moderators and admin of this forum know what to do and they are maintaining it beautifully.

Nobody is restricting anyone here, they are just trying to direct people to the right place. Often if a new thread is opened it can get lost in the ones that have loads of replies and activity. You are right in saying that more info is needed in the subject area sometimes, as if an experienced person sees the subject matter, they could redirect the person to the right place where their question maybe already answered.
There are also threads from people asking the same question over and over again as they have become impatient that no one has answered them within 5 minutes of them posting a new thread.
Don't forget that anyone who answers a post is doing it of their own free will because they want to help (especially with new posters) but to keep this all running smoothly there has to be some basic ground rules :)

Hey Goodman

you are taking it personally.... Calm down!!!

My only concern was to let people aware about not creating multiple threads for the same topics. It can cause you too. Many seniors dont like to post same reply which they already did in one of the similar topic.

Seniors like Sir Qorax, PMM, Rocky etc have suggested not to create a new thread if it does exist as more and more people will be in one topic and more opinions can be received. This is very much useful to newbie rather creating a new topic and getting only few replies.

Anyways no hard feelings from my end so, just chill.

If i hurt you, please accept my apologize.

All the best

Hi everyone. I am looking to take your advice & expertise to determine the exact NOC TEER Code for the job duties that I perform at my place of work as a Loan Processing Specialist. Now, I’m worried if the position qualifies under NOC 63102 or NOC 14201. Your help will save me from a lot of stress and I’ll really appreciate it. Please share your valuable insight.

I most definitely feel it is NOC 63102, as three duties match with it and since it is a loan processing specialist job, just like a loan officer/analyst job.

The duties being:
  • Processors apply detailed knowledge and understanding of company policies and exception approvals.
  • Assess and analyze loan applications; review, evaluate and analyze credit and financial history of applications including capacity to pay to make final processing decision.
  • Grant approvals applications in accordance with company policy or as delegated by the Risk and Analytics department as a loan processor
  • Provide rationale to branch managers in regards to the underwriting process and the analysis that took place where such applications are either approved or refused.
  • Adhere to acceptable review timeframes for analysis of applications and processor best practices
  • Incorporate new (or changes to) policies and procedures in a live environment fluidly so as not to disrupt workflow for the processing unit.
  • Answer queries from sales staff pertaining to applications submitted for analysis and/or exception approval from the processing team.
  • Pinpoint fraudulent documents during analysis and report these to appropriate departments and the processing unit.
  • Match and validate application information such as income, paystubs and credit ratings to make a final processing decision in the approval process

Lol, you are too worried about that. Basically, I couldn’t compose a new thread for some reason. I wasn’t having that tab to post a new thread. I had no choice but to hijack this thread, but yes please let me know if you know anything about what I’m talking
