Background check

Hi everyone,
I applied for inland sponsorship through my canadian wife.
I applied on 14th April.
Got AOR on June 1st.
Medical exam request on June 1st.
Medical exam completed June 20th.
Biometric done from before.
Eligibility completed (for both of us) July 6th
Background check in process.
How long will it take for the background check and is there something I can do to speed the process up?
Is it a good sign or a bad sign that its taking more than two months to process the background check.

Same boat as yourself. No one has a definite answer on how long this should take. Anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.
