I completed my online oath from Edmonton on August 10th. Downloaded my e-certificate on 17th.

I received e-certificate download instruction email next day after my oath.

Hi All, Has anyone received a call saying that they are from Citizenship Application department? Saying they wanted to confirm few details.
They wanted me to confirm my DOB - I said how can I make sure you are from the right department & did not provide any details.

Do you guys think it is legit? have you received any calls as such? Thank you!

When I applied in Feb, I thought that online applications are going pretty fast mode of approvals. Got stuck on LPP from the first week of May. Really depressed. Ordered GCMS notes and found that the primary office is Scarborough and the Secondary office is Sydney.

I read somewhere that the Scarborough office is pretty slow. Thinking to withdraw the application and reapply. My bad luck is so strong if it is not get cleared sooner, It will going to stick for the next 2 years.

Its same with paper applications as well. My test was completed two months ago and since then no updates
I am stuck with Surrey office and i just tried my luck ordering GCMS notes and you really dont see any benefit since it says processing due date of March 2024. So i have stopped pursuing with the IRCC team as there is no use wasting time. Any I have lost all my interest after been in queue for 6 months and dont mind waiting for another 6-7 months (hopefully all passes by easily).

Lastly even if you call you will get standard response that it is within normal processing time of 18-19 months. I acknowledge that many applicants are getting done in 3-4 months but nothing much one can do.

Looks like this is legit call - I called up to IRCC customer support & they confirmed that the IRCC agent has called & put up a notes on my file.

I was able to call back to the agent & review the questions they had on my application

You can always ask for their Name & agent ID for making sure they are legit people.

Keep checking. There is no any other way. My oath was on August 10th. Application closed on 15th august. Tracker was updated on 17th August as file closed. Downloaded e-certificate on 17th August

I wouldn’t withdraw - you will lose your place in the queue. There is still a target processing time for routine applications. I too have been waiting for LPP since test passed first week May, but others have been waiting longer. I’m at Vancouver office. Try to be patient we are in the home stretch compared to when we first got PR…hang tight.

Is your LPP completed? How long have you been waiting for LPP to pass?

Mine is a paper application with the Scarborough office. I got my LPP on August 16 and oath on August 18, scheduled for September 27.

Keep checking. There is no any other way. My oath was on August 10th. Application closed on 15th august. Tracker was updated on 17th August as file closed. Downloaded e-certificate on 17th August

I understood, first tracker status will be closed and after then I will be able to download. I have to keep checking the tracer status until that get closed I won't be able to download.
