PR Card timeline - 2023

This is frustrating. I opened GCKey and it said update
now it says "Final decision - August 17, 2023:Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made."
COPR date - July 4
Is that a precursor to the status being approved?

Yes. It's a ghost update. You will get the update on the card soon.

we are in the same boat. MY copr date is June 23rd.

Same boat. Quite frustrated. My eCoPR is June 15th.

Yeah, it'll be about 4 or 5 days until you get another update to say that it's been mailed.

Hi everyone! Can someone please explain to me what kind of ghost updates I should expect on my GCkey account after linking my PR card application to the account and before my (first) PR card being mailed to me? What should change on my account after each update? Thanks!

If all is well with your address and photos, you'll get two updates along the way. One is when the card has been approved for printing, the next is when they send it in the mail.

It's different for me. I received 2 GU but the first one is like Application: Final Decision in progress or something similar to that; and some days later, I received another GU that said: Application approved, we mailed out your card. Then the next day they sent me an email with the subject: "We updated your application status (Rxxxxxx)"

Recently when checking my linked PR card application, I noticed the status had changed to application/profile updated. However, when I clicked on the application, nothing had changed in it. Then I went to the homepage again and the status was back to submitted. Is this what you call a ghost update?

Yes, as a next update you should see your PR card mailed out.
