It depends on where your application is being processed. If a Canadian visa office is processing it, they usually provide you information around whats happening and where it is stuck. My parents are however being processed in their homeland which is India. Indian Visa office has no phone numbers. Only way to reach out is Webforms. And its usually an automated response each time saying your application is still being processed.

Our visa office is in Singapore (we don't have a Canada visa process centre in Bangladesh). The only way is to raise webform to submit any document or get an update. I am an international student in Canada. I tried several times to reach IRCC in Ottowa over phone but couldn't get any human response unless the auto generated answers. I'm pissed off with the delays that they are doing unnecessarily.

Nothing new but shows my application is pending on Background Check. You can give it a shot too and see where is it pending.

Hey. My husband filled up the military table. No other documents had to be uploaded with the form. They only required the table to be filled up. But it's been over 8 months since he filled up the form and ircc is doing his secondary clearance. No update or decision is given till date. This wait time is crazy and tiring. My husband served in Bangladesh army for 23 years. He was asked to fill up this form and submit on October 5th, 2022. He was given 1 month to submit the form. After that in February 2023, IRCC Singapore sent him an email stating that his secondary cleaning is being done by some organizations along with IRCC. This process takes time so we have to wait patiently. Since then, there has been no update. We're tired of this long wait...
