I am new here and my Canada LMIA application status changed from "Queued for Assessment" to "Assessment in progress".
My employer applied in March.

I want to know after that how many days will take to receive LMIA approval or rejection.

Depends on skill level. You can check LMIA processing times.

LMIA processing time shows 6 - 8 weeks and mine completed 11 weeks.

Tell your employer to find out status. 6-8 weeks is the processing time for most but not all LMIAs. You still need to apply for a work permit if you get an approved LMIA. What is your NOC? Do you have ECA and IELTS?

So EDSC is assessing whether a LMIA is appropriate given the NOC. Is that a licensed NOC? Most jobs in your field are self employed where you rent a chair in a shop.

What do you mean? Your employer and you would have checked the NOC EDSC database to see about job responsibilities and education/licensing requirements. Your employer would know whether you need to be licensed through Red Seal (example) or not.

My NOC is under Teer 3 and I don't need any license.
My job responsibilities and certificate are according to my job title.

Ok. TEER is not the issue but since you checked the database and you don’t need a license/Red Seal then all you can do is wait for LMIA to apply for work permit. Are you a barber or hairstylist? Province?

I asked about Red Seal and License to my employer. She said that I need only a trade Certificate from the province website and she will provide all details further.
What is a trade qualifier?

Hi Naturgrl,

For the FSTP program, if you have a valid LMIA with a job offer then you don't need Trade Certificate or any other license.

The below information was found on the CIC website and I confirmed with my employer too.

• valid job offer of full-time employment for a total period of at least 1 year
• or
• a certificate of qualification in that skilled trade issued by a Canadian provincial, territorial, or federal authority
