@parrots We Are One of the unlucky people On the Earth That We Still Didn't Get A Decision.
in My Opinion Canada immigration Have really Poor quality System They bcz They Couldn't Give You Result In Given Time I think It's Really Poor System......
It has nothing to do with you mate. I think the delays are caused by the sheer number of applicants. I'm sure you will hear something positive soon.
So cheer up yeah!

Hey guys! Just wanted to check in on you and ask how it's going with your applications? Are we all still waiting? I can't believe none of us has moved forward with their decisions yet :( It's been 13 weeks as of today for our SP + OWP application and if I am not mistaken only @kungFUpanda you are still waiting longer than that, right? Will 2023 really see those 18-20 timelines again, I wonder :( And I know many of us are still waiting since 2022..

If you are still there, let's catch up, how are you guys? Any thoughts and feelings on the current situation? Have you tried reaching out to the IRCC somehow?
@hs202 @Zafran Khan @trkm93 @Shittu1268 @kungFUpanda @Izaz @Lolan @Olubaju @Latifa Annie
As fyi, the case is for my cousin and is still awaited. Waiting since July. Have sent in the request through webform. Recently he contacted a certified IRCC agent and all that agent did was sent in documents again via webform on 3rd May. Also I heard that applications for TRV for Pakistan were having great amount of backlog. Some Canadian MP met Immigration minister who said we are working on it and lot of backlog is cleared now.
P.S I am Canadian citizen and have lived in Canada for 10+ years. Now back in home country, Pakistan since 4 years

Hello everybody, just wanted to post my timeline as a NON-SDS applicant from Qatar, Visa office is Abu Dhabi for study permit.

Application submission confirmation: April 19th, 2023
Biometric Completed: April 24th, 2023
Medical Request from IRCC: May 8th, 2023

my medical results are all clear and have been submitted to IRCC on May 18th, now waiting for it to reflect in the system. Still not showing up in Gckey or Tracker :/

Tracker shows biometric & eligibility completed, medical and background is in progress.
Don't worry the medical result will be updated tomorrow or so as Sat and Sun is weekend in Abu Dhabi Visa office. Tracker only get updated once or twice a week and it was last update on 16th May 2023 so it will show the medical is completed upon the next update whenever that will be and hopefully your GCkey account shall be updated before that.

I have also applied for my Son Study permit for NON-SDS stream from Qatar and I am four days ahead of you. The medical result was uploaded on 14th May at night and was updated to "passed" status on IRCC Portal on 16th May (medical pass date shown is 15th May 2023).

I have received the Biometric Validity Letter on 19th May but I have not received the Original Passport request yet which I am hoping to receive in coming few days.

How did you manage to get appointment for medical so quickly from gulf lab. In my case they wasted 3 weeks of our precious time as we have to travel by 10th June 2023 and I need my son's passport for travel.

I just did my biometrics yesterday May 18th, 2023. But it wasn't reflected on the system yet, is that normal? Should I call in VFS to confirm that they've sent them through?

UPDATE: I just checked my portal now and they're "completed" in the portal! however the application tracker still says "In progress"
The portal is more up to date at the moment as the tracker is currently updated until 16th May 2023. You can always check the date of last update on the top right corner of the tracker page. Your biometric will be shown completed upon the next update of the tracker. The tracker is usually updated once or twice a month.

was your medical upfront ? in my case i had an appointment booked for upfront medical with gulf lab but i did not get one done because the appointment was of after 3-4 weeks. however i took the appointment slot, submitted my application and got request of medical from IRCC in the meanwhile. i got medical request on May8th, got done with medical May 9th, was uploaded on May 18th on IRCC and passed medical on May19th. but no BVL or PPR yet.

I took the appointment for upfront as well but we didn't do the medical during that appointment as there was no request for medical from IRCC at that point. Received Medical request on 19th April and gulf lab gave an appointment only for 7th May 2023 and wasted 3 weeks. Anyways, medical was pass on 15th May 2023. So waiting for PPR now and hoping to receive it on 23rd May 2023 or in coming few days.

Are you going to Bachelors or Masters?

oh waow thats super weird that they gave you after 3 weeks. They probably gave me for the next day because i was not happy with one of the cashiers attitude that day and i let them know about it, so probably they were trying to compensate for that. But all is well, alhamdullilah we got it done, its uploaded and passed.

Im going for masters at University of Alberta in Edmonton. What about your son ?

Yes, I have also noticed that the people sitting at the reception has attitude issues. I took appointment by phone, I guess I should have gone in person and that might have made the difference. Anyways, you are right, all is well as it is over. I hope that we receive the PPR letter soon as I have seen some people on this forum waiting for PPR letter since long time.

Does your tracker says eligibility completed? Can you see any visa number on the tracker?

My son is going for his Bachelors in University of Calgary in Calgary, AB. I really want my son to send to University of Alberta but they do not take students after just AS Levels as they need the students to complete full A Level.

that sounds great. University of Calgary is such a great choice though. i got my bachelors from University of Calgary branch in Qatar. and that probably increased my chance for my admission at uni of Alberta because the masters i choose out of 800 applicant only 60 got selected and luckily i was on of them.

i am hoping to receive my BVL and PPR in this week, in sha Allah.

my tracker also shows eligibility completed.

InshaAllah you will receive soon. I am also hoping to receive PPR soon. It would have been great if they have sent both letters together. I was expecting them together as I applied for Visit Visa for myself and I receive both BVL and PPR together.

don't worry, you already received the BVL, PPR is just hours away in sha Allah. its great that you got your visit visa and you will be able to help out your son transition into Canada. I am going with my husband, he applied for SOWP with me and his application is at the same stage as me.

InshaAllah. Yes, this is why I applied for the visit visa so that I can help out my son's transition to Canada. I am getting little impatient because tomorrow is holiday in Embassy (Victoria Day) and last time it took Abu Dhabi office 3 weeks to stamp my visa on the passport and I had to travel on 10th June 2023. So I want to get it done before that.

Great to hear that your husband's application is moving fast just like yours and you both will settle in Canada quickly and easily.

Hello sorry to rudely interrupt your conversation. But I have been reading, you said your son has BVL. Does he have visa number on his tracker?
