Hi,

I have received the below communication from IRCC. This was for a Temporary Visit Visa (TRV) application for my 2 year old daughter. Applied from Abudhabi on May 2022. (Me and my wife, we both are PR holders in Canada). We were asked to pay a fees of 200 CAD for our daughter's application stating that it should go under Temporary Resident Permit (TRP), as my daughter comes under the inadmissible category. Does this below communication means that her TRP is approved and we should wait for the passport request to come. I am confused as the initial part of the below communication is only detailing about the refusal of TRV. Kindly help!!!.

I have reviewed your temporary resident visa (visitor visa) application and supporting documentation to assess whether you meet the requirements for a visitor visa (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/eligibility.html). This includes assessing whether you are coming to Canada temporarily for the reason(s) you describe in your application. I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/I-2.5/index.html) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/index.html). I am refusing your application.

• TRP issued to facilitate early admission. Passport request to follow.

Hi - the first part looks to explain the legalities of why IRCC doesn't issue a temporary Visa to people coming to Canada permanently.

Part two says, so instead the child will get a temporary Permit in order for the child to come to Canada.

This is a good news message.

Now...the wait is for the Passport request. I have seen that people with similar situation got the passport request the very next day. Ours is already a week now. Its been one year we are waiting for the visa. We are so frustrated and really traumatized with this delay.

It’s really frustrating and traumatizing, it’s over a week now waiting for passport request.
I hope some can tell more about the situation here
