I am a quebec resident and applied for my mother. Got the sponsor approval from Federal on March 9th. In that it was stated to contact MIFI,Quebec to further process my sponsor eligibility. I sent the documents in March. And MIFI has processed the payment further to it. Inbetween i was trying to link my application to the GCKey but was not successful so far. But today i was able to link the application in GCKey. The steps i followed are below:
1. Provide UCI (use the UCI of the principal applicant) and Family Name (As per the Federal Approval Letter)
2. Then used the Passport Number and Place of Birth of the Principal Applicant
3. Number of People in the application: 2 (PA: Mother + Sponsor:Me)

The above information could be helpful for quebec applicants. Remember it took 1 month to link the application to GCKey and my assumption could be that it needed so much time for quebec processing.

Got request for additional document for Proof of relationship.
1. Asked to provide Voter Card and Adhaar Card for my parents. My mom's name has different spelling in both Adhaar Card vs Voter Card (not material different but one additional alphabet in one of those cards). What should I do?
2. Other request is to provide my certificates and passport as proof of relationship. My mother's name has different spelling in those documents (different from her Adhaar Card and Voter card as above). What should I do?

I had similar issue . my dads name was different in his passport , in my birth certificate and completely different in his birth certificate, we had an affidavit created which say all names belongs to the same person . so far i have not received any query back from IRCC about name discrepancy. i think this is very common issue so they understand some document may be not exact name so we need to provide Affidavit .

I have submitted application on 20 Dec 2020 and received AOR on 7 April 2023. in AOR says:

"This letter confirms that your Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class was received
by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) at the Case Processing Centre in
Mississauga on behalf of the following family member(s):
<father name>

Please note that the following documentation will be required for your sponsorship
application to determine...."

I noticed that mother's name is not mentioned. Do they send another AOR with mother's name? mother was added in depends.

It is normal. Once IRCC processes the submitted documents, the status will change. Nothing to worry.
Thank you. Today the status is changed to "We received the provided documents". Does anyone know what is the next step? how long it will take to get their PR?

Hi, I am an Ontario resident and applied for my mother on November 24, 2022. I also got the OVS SPR eligibility decision letter with the application num on April 05, 2023. They have requested a bunch of information and stated ' If not already included in your application). When I called the IRCC, it says no document was requested at this moment.
1. Do I need to provide all the documents again? (Updated residential address, RPRF, Passport/travel doc, Proof of relationship, Biometric, Medical(the request will send separately), police certificate, IMM5562 & CV)
2. My mom currently lives in Canada with a super visa. Do I need to update her residential address?
3. Police certificate - Does she need to provide both India and Canada PCC

Also, I am trying to link my application to GCKey. Do I need to create a new one? Bcz mom and I have separate GCKey. confused with which account we need to link the application to. Tried from my mom's account and couldn't link. :(

I just received letter subject "Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada - Communication to client/Immigration, Réfugiés et Citoyenneté Canada - Communication auprès de la clientèle - CPCM / CTDM - OVS SPR Eligibility Decision Letter XXXXXXXX". The letter says "You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative will be processed at CPC-Mississauga". The letter is a 5 pages long letter. It also states "Please note that the following documentation is required for your sponsored family members. If not already included in your application, please obtain and submit as soon as possible:" And it list all the documentation requirements which I already submitted all of them except the medical exam and police certificate. This is a generic letter and I guess everyone must be receiving the same letter.

My questions:
1. Do I need to take any action?
2. For the medical exam, it says "Immigration Medical Examination: The principal applicant and their dependant family member (if applicable) must each complete an Immigration Medical Examination in support of this application. Instructions for the medicals will be sent separately. Please complete all required testing within the timeframe specified on the instructions." So I need to wait for the instruction letter first?
3. For the Police certificate, should I start to work on it now? Or they will request again in future? As I know the validity of the Police certificate is only 1 year.
4. My parents now is living in Canada as a visitor for more than 6 months, do they need Police certificate from Canada?

Thanks!
