Medical is usually at the very beginning of the process. 6-12 months after a medical is typical but could be longer if you need an interview or if you are from some countries
Actually, I am a non-accompanying dependent of my husband under PR visa. I did medical with him last May 2021. My husband went to Canada first last May 2022. I processed my papers and they received it July 2022. I did my Biometrics last Dec 2022, Eligibility completed and received my pre-arrival Feb 2023. I received medical instructions via email March 8. But my appointment is still on March 23. So, do I still need to wait again 12-16 months for COPR?

Remedical is not uncommon. So might even wait longer.

That is a very different scenario Than typical spousal sponsorship. Will depend on how long it takes to get medical approved. Then should take around 1-2 months to get COPR.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking too. It is really unusual but will keep having faith that it won’t be too long.

Your medical had expired so it isn’t surprising that you will have to redo it. Your background checks don’t seem to be required to repeat which is lucky,

According to my Application Tracker, there is “Background Verification” section there after Medical. Hopefully it won’t be really long since they already have my Biometrics December 2022.
