My friend got her Visa approved recently and they gave it to her for the duration of her passport. So her passport expires in 9 years so they gave her the visa for 9 years.

Not for visit visa I think, not possible

it is for visit visa. her husband is canadian and they both live in qatar, maybe that's why.

Hi, I applied June 2 and got PPR request December 3. Applied from Qatar for visitor visa

I got PPR for my Minor child on Nov 29th. Submitted passport on 30th Nov in VFS Office Dubai.

Got the passport back on 7th Dec through courier.

Visit Visa Duration is given for the duration of the passport (5 Yrs).

If they approve, normally visa is till passport or Biometric validity (whichever is earlier)
