Hi All, Quick update on my end. I'm sponsoring my mother (I'm in Quebec) and her file has been at the Mexico office since April 2020, when Covid shut everything down. 2 years and a bit later, we finally received her request for medicals today!!!

Does anyone know how soon they ask for police checks after they ask for medicals?

Yes i received my parents CSQ at the end of April. Sent it to IRCC directly but no update since then

No i haven't. They just passed their medical exams.

I applied in Oct 2021 and received it in April 2022. When you get yours, make sure to send it yourself to CIC. I lost alot of time because MIFI never did.

i have received invitation to apply for my parents today after two years. Can someone please explain what is the financial requirements process here? My annual gross income needs to be 52k in order to apply for both of my parents. I earn more than 52k. I’m single and don’t have any kids. I need to submit their application by December.

Question 1. is do i need to show my i am making 52k from 2019 until I submit the application in December. OR i need to maintain 52k gross annual income until the decision is made ?
Question 2. Is there any language requirement for PGP in Quebec?

Hi and congratulations. You have a long process ahead of you.
First of all, for your financials make sure that you are looking at the QC site Sponsor a family member| Government of Quebec . These are the #s that you need.
There are no language requirements for PGP in QC, of course they would like you to speak some French at least, but no requirements.

Hello I don't know if this thread is still active. I've been sent an invitation to apply for my mother with the parents and grandparents sponsorship program. While filling out the application on the new Permanent Residence Portal, for the form IMM0008, it asks if she would be residing in Quebec. She has ticked this as yes, but then it asks her for the date she applied for the CSQ. I've tried to look into the CSQ application and it's really confusing as the only options are the skilled workers and quebec experience class. There's no option for family. do we just select one of these options?

Or do we not fill out the CSQ forms now? I've seen other threads saying this would be done later but right now we can't move forward while leaving the section asking for the date she applied for her CSQ.

This is also info from the application guide:
"Where do you plan to live in Canada?
If you plan to live in the Province of Quebec and haven’t received your Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ), enter the date when you applied for it. If you haven’t applied yet, you must do so before applying for permanent residence."

I would really appreciate any help. thank you!
