Each applicant is processed individually, not together. There could be an approval for you, and rejection for your wife. Files are not grouped together for processing.

So not sure if it would be processed under CAN+ since you just got US visa and have never travelled there. The whole point of CAN+ is that you show that you abide by Canadian and US immigration rules (eg no overstay). Again you will know if processed quickly.

Correct - your travel history is yours. Hers is hers.
Your background check is yours, hers is hers. I'm sure you wouldn't want to be jailed for a crime she committed! (example)

Hence your applications are handled individually. You could get a response faster or later, she could receive a rejection or approval sooner, and vice versa.

Having a USA Visa (new or old), and not having a Canadian Visa (new or old), and not having travel history to Canada in the last 10 years, does not qualify your file to be processed under Can+

Can+ is strictly for applicants who have had a travel history to Canada in the last 10 years, and have had new or old Canada VIsa for those travels. Also, you should not have overstayed at any time unless you've had a proper legal extension of visa / stay.

Please don’t mind but I think if you have valid US visa then you are eligible to fall in CAN+ category.
