Hi Everyone,
I have a question; I'll be traveling to Canada with my family (Spouse, Kid, Parents) next month. The duration of my travel is around 22 odd days. Now, me / my wife and my kid all are Permanent Residents of Canada and both my parents do hold valid Travel/ Tourists VISA.
We (all PR holders) went to Canada in 2017 but due to some situations back home we came back in 2018 (say 6-7 months). Post-2018, we are traveling now (in 2022) but with the entire family this time (all 5 of us). In Canada we'll first be visiting Niagara Falls for 4-5 days and then we'll be staying at multiple places(for rest of our stay) in Ontario.
Now, I want to understand the process of filling out the information in ArriveCan:-
a) The App says that all travelers need to have the same reason of travel to Canada; but in our case we are PR holders and my parents hold Tourist Visa. Can someone please suggest what would be the appropriate option in my situation? Below are options visible on Arrive Can:
1) Canadian citizens and others with a right of entry. (These people can always enter Canada: Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or a person registered under the Indian Act.)
2) Work/employment or essential reasons (Discretionary/optional travel)
3) Foreign nationals who intend to enter Canada for visits, weddings, leisure, tourism, recreation, fishing, or other optional reasons. (Study (international student))
4) A foreign national who holds a study permit to study in Canada, whose study permit was approved or who is entitled to apply for a study permit at the port of entry.
5) Compassionate entry (Foreign nationals who have approval to enter Canada to provide support to a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, temporary resident, protected person, or person registered under the Indian Actwho is deemed to be critically ill or requiring support by a health care practitioner, or to attend a funeral or end-of-life ceremony.)
6) Family reunification (Foreign nationals who intend to enter Canada to reunite with or to accompany an immediate or extended family member. For further information and requirements, see uniting with family members.)
7) Other
b) Secondly, ArriveCan says that we also do need to have a place for 14-day Quarantine. But since we will be staying at multiple places (first Niagara and then in Ontario, how are we supposed to provide the Quarantine plan (in case they end up checking).
Can someone please guide us. It's really important!!
Thanks In Advance!!
