Hi everyone,
I am totally new to this spousal visa option, I recently got married and just trying to figure everything out. I have following issues and highly appreciate if someone can answer my queries.
I have no full time permanent job at the moment, but I work full time on contract basis, so will it ne an issue?
How much do I have to show in my account and duration?
Is the process is online or paper based?
Do I need my COPR document, coz I don’t have it now, can’t download it either?
Do my wife has to do IELTS and educational qualifications evaluation (ex-WES) for the process?
Do we need to provide social media history (ex-FB)?

r u applying for spousal open work permit ?
Or
spousal sponsorship ?

u don't need a full time job , if u r a permanent resident and applying for spousal sponsorship
But if u r doing spousal open work permit then u need to have skill level NOC 0,A, or B job
How much do I have to show in my account and duration?
if spousal sponsorship then funds r not needed
If spousal open work permit, then u must have funds ,
Which country ur spouse is in ?
Is the process is online or paper based?
u can do paper or online , both r available

U need COPR document only if u r permanent resident
If u r on work permit then u need ur work permit

u can provide ur communication proofs
Wedding pics all rituals
ur honeymoon pics and hotel receipts
pics before mairrage
How u met ? When u met ?
detailed explanation of ur love story ?
IF it was arrange mairrage then how u met ?
Any joint bank accounts
any insurance policy taken on spouse name
If Ur wife change her document to ur name then u can use that as proof too
all other whatever proofs u have which shows that ur relationship and mairrage is genuine

I am a PR and I don’t have the COPR document now, can’t download it either.
What is the difference between spousal sponsorship and work permit?
Can she work if she come here under spousal sponsorship, seems like spousal sponsorship stream is more lenient than open work permit?

Well then u don't need COPR, u just need ur Original PR Card
If u r a Permanent residence of Canada then u have to apply for spousal sponsorship
It doest require full time job and u don't need to show funds
Spousal sponsorship is ur wife will come as Permanent resident of Canada
If u r permanent resident of Canada then u have to sponsor ur spouse and she will also come as a permanent resident of Canada
Difference is
Spousal sponsorship is for those who r citizen or permanent residents of Canada and whose spouse r in other country , then u can sponsor ur spouse to become resident of Canada, that way ur spouse will Come to canada as resident
Spousal sponsorship doesn't require funds unless u have a child
Since u said that ur just married so I guess it's only ur spouse coming then u don't require to show funds
Spousal visa is If u r on work permit in canada and u want to call ur spouse to canada then u have to apply for spousal open work permit , then ur spouse will Come to canada on a work permit
Spousal visa requires funds
So still do I have to show social media proof, messages, wedding pics, etc?

Well if I don't have social media proofs then it's ok
U just have to show ur proof of means of communication, doesn't matter if u use whatsapp or Facebook or Instagram or whatever
In short u have to prove that ur relationship is genuine
Yes all the proof u have to show whatever u have, to prove that u r in a genuine Relationship
You will get a UCI then you get the AOR. Online applications are taking approximately 80-100 days for AORHi Everyone, I applied for my wife's spousal sponsorship application - outland in the month of July 2022 , She is residing in India. I applied through the new portal, the application status says Submitted, but I haven't received the UCI nor any update from IRCC since then. Do we get the UCI immediately after we submit the application, if yes, I believe I did something wrong. Can you someone clear the confusion, whether we get the UCI immediately or not and also, is everyone facing the same time delays.

Yes that's correct , it's confidential , but u still have to share with Immigration canada , both kind of messages

For me, I sent screenshots of audio and video call duration and some screenshots of texts. I wrote a letter saying most of our conversation were through calls and they didn't seem to have any issues.
Hi guys, Spousal inland application here. I am the sponsor.
Applied ending August, received AOR 10 days later. Have a question though.
I already have a medical active dated 31 Jan and had submitted that with the application. It has only been 7 months since then. I received a Medical request although our medical is still active.
Unfortunately, we are not allowed to set up a new medical when the old one (from Jan 31 2022) is still active. No IRCC physical panel doctor is accepting an appointment because our old medical is not 9 months old yet.
What are my options? I already raised a Webform re-submitting proof of that medical.
Would really appreciate your views as this is very confusing. Thanks and god bless.
