It's ridiculous that Paper applications are getting processed so much quicker. Others who submitted online back in Oct/November last year only have AOR.....

You submitted your application in May and we are in August and you have already done your test. There are literally 100's of people who applied online who only have AOR...

That's great timeline. When were you able to create account on Client Application Status (CAS) tool? I received AOR today but I am not able register as the system doesn't identify my details. Also, what is ECAS?

How Do I know if the application station is "In Process ECAS" after AOR?

'Application Received' will change to 'In Process' and there will a new entry something like "We've started processing your application"

You submitted your application in May and we are in August and you have already done your test. There are literally 100's of people who applied online who only have AOR...

There should be a disclaimer written in bold, that says :
For online applications, your processing will be massively delayed.

At that moment people will make their informed decision before choosing their application type, this caught me personally by surprise, had I known this fact, I would have applied paper based.

This gives a high level status of your application.

for CAS tool, I received an email asking me to register and I registered only after that. The email came 1 or 2 days after getting AOR

At what stage the change in status happens, any idea how long it is taking approx these days?

It is my understanding that in the past the 'In Process ecas' column in the spreadsheet was used to track the actual status change on the ecas. However, since online applications do not use ecas, the entries these days are just the In Progress status in the new tracker, which usually happens the day after aor.

So its hard to tell how long it takes for In Process on ecas but the status itself means your application was forwarded to the local office (you can check the description of statuses in the link after you click on "Application Received" on ecas).

That is a great timeline. Good to see IRCC catching up on the applications.

One question on the status of my application ( it was paper application with family)
This link shows https://cst-ssc.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/dashboard application as in progress
where as https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/viewcasestatus.do link shows "application received" and not in process.
Which status is accurate?
