Hi All, I got this reply for the webform I raised in May. Visitor visa was applied on 15th March, It looks like an automated response but does anyone know if this is a positive sign that they may finally start processing the visa??

Approvals are random. Some people get approved in 3-4 weeks while some wait 8 months++ it is crazy !

I have applied for visitor visa for myself and son (7yr) from Singapore on 22nd Mar 2022. My wife is studying in Canada (since May 2022). Although the eta is 98 days, the visa is not approved yet.
it's taking between 5-7 months to get an answer. Don't follow the "estimated processing times". My wife applied for her visa on March 24 and still no answer

What was your purpose of visit?

How long did you ask for a visa?

What are you showing as home ties and what is the invitee status in Canada

First look at everything and then decide

well I hope you attached all invitation information along with tickets and accommodation details

If you showed everything and still it was refused, get an attorney and appeal in court if you want

Good Luck

Language workshop for 7 days and a previous refusal. I believe you are a genuine visitor but the Visa officer might think spending so much money for a 7 day workshop does not seem quite genuine.

In my personal opinion, make some travel history and wait at least 2 years.
