Hi fellow almost-Canadians (who would all be full-Canadians if the process moved a little faster!!)

I sent my application (Family of 3) in December and got my AOR on Jan 31st. I knew it might take some time but was very thrilled when they said that our background check was completed on Feb 25th. My issue is, there has been absolutely no movement in the application since then (Language Skills, Physical Presence, Prohibition or Test Invite). I see a lot of paper based applicants like me who received their AOR around the same time or after me who have already completed their test. Has anyone else faced similar issue? I know the answer is probably no, but is there anyone I can call to check the status of the application?

My friend is not on this forum but just had movement on his file . He applied 4th December online (from vancouver) and got aor on 7 February and he got the test invite yesterday.

Good for him, I am still waiting. I am Oct 28 online. My file is handled at Sydney/Niagara Falls Offices!

Same here, similar timeline and stuck at B.C. completed . No movement since early March for me too (family paper applicant)

Niagara Falls has been slow lately. Mine also started off in Sidney then got transferred to Niagara Falls for background check and test. Timeline in my signature. Even those of us waiting to be scheduled for oath are waiting for a while. Out of frustration with approaching the one year mark and lacking updates, I ordered ATIP on May 27 and finally received them last night. What caught my attention is that whenever someone actually handled my application, progress was made that day or the next day. So it's not that there was something wrong with my application that was making it drag on but just that it was taking forever for anyone to look at it after each step. So I think that all of us who are delayed unfortunately just have our applications in the backlog waiting for someone to take a look.

Change to paper, online applications are in purgatory. ECAS is only for paper applicants anyway.

Do, we need to schedule a date/time upfront or can we take the test at anytime during the 20 day window? From the instructions, there was no link or mention of having to preschedule the test, but wanted to confirm with this group. Thanks

Believing it is invite for online test, No pre-scheduling required.
