Is there anyone applying for a TRV from Abu Dhabi? Can you share your timeline? I have been waiting since Jan, starting to get worried as I am a returning student!

Average processing is around 4 months so you should have some response by April/May.

I left Canada to visit my family in Abu Dhabi. I have a valid study permit and coop work permit. I completely ignored my visitor visa which turned out to be expired, this was a big mistake on my part. I went to the airport thinking I can fly, but of course, I wasn't able to board since my visit visa is expired. I directly applied for a TRV and sent a webform asking if they can perhaps expedite my application since I am a returning student who needs to be back for my classes, my internship, and my apartment. I uploaded all supporting documents for my case (proof of enrollment, proof of employment, bank statements...). I received a response on Jan 20th saying that I will receive a request letter to submit my passport shortly. This has turned into a couple of weeks now with no news! I am eagerly waiting to get back to my life in Canada.
After sending follow-up emails and not receiving any replies, I decided to submit another webform attaching the email IRCC Abu Dhabi has sent me about receiving a request letter to submit my passport shortly. However, I did not get any confirmation email for submitting the webform, so I am worried they maybe did not receive it.
Do you guys have any advice? Is there anything more I can do? My university is back to in-person classes, and my employer needs me to return.

All you can do is wait. There is no expedited processing (everyone would love expedited processing). Emails/webforms will not push your application along if you are within the processing timelines, which you are. Webforms may or may not be acknowledged as TRVs are not a priority.

My mother's trv was processed at ADVO and her visa was issued in 60 days time. Your approval will be very close. Don't worry

Hello, I applied for TRV last May 2021 and i already had my biometrics months before that. My status turned ' We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements ' last July 6, 2021. But unfortunately up to this time my status still the same. I kept on sending them through webform but last reply was, my application is not priority at this time and still on que. As per my employer, Abu Dhabi processing will really take long time to process. If you have the same experience or got an update from IRCC abu dhabi please share it. Thank you

Hello,
I’m currently facing the same exact same situation but I am in Kuwait - the IRCC office responsible for processing the application is located in Abu Dhabi. Can you update me on what happened with your case? Did your TRV come out yet?

Yes I applied twice for GCMS notes and it’s showing that file is open and they checked criminal records in 4 other countries and no record traced. I already got US visa recently I sent a web inquiry but still didn’t get any reply. And as I know to cancel first application you have to send a webform for cancellation
