Congrats buddy...what major changes did you make in ur 2nd application? Which countryHi,
I've been lurking around this forum for a while to get insight related to the timeline for the Non-SDS stream.
I hope this comment guides others who are in a similar boat. Before that I would like to break this myth that it is near impossible to get a study permit after a refusal under NON-SDS or that NON-SDS is risky, "don't go for that"
My profile is strong; won't get into that rn, here is the timeline. (This is kinda a rant post also, so you may just focus on the timeline)
My agent applied on January 24, 2022
Permit Rejected - February 03, 2022
Reason - Financial status, and one more related to insufficient funds to sustain in Canada
The filing was done poorly. The guidelines given by IRCC weren't followed at all. My parents requested to apply through one of their known so-called agents and apparently, in Punjab, it's a business. The reason they did so poorly was that I already had an offer letter from University so they couldn't sell me their package, and therefore didn't care at all about the application.
I decided to apply myself which I should have done in the first place and gathered all the documents (and they were a lot) in 2 months. And here it is -
Application filled - 13th April 2022
Biometrics Updated - 13th April 2022
Medicals Upfront - Nov 2021
Medicals Updated - 26th April 2022
PPR - 27th April 2022
And this is a NON-SDS APPLICATION
Hope it helps.
That's quick. Nowadays the processing time for sds is way too long. Many have been waiting for almost 2 months for their medical to be updated.Same in my Case. Sds Category File Lodged 29th March. Biometric Updated 4rth April, Medical Passed 13th April. Eligibility yet to start

A lot of financial documents - My and my parents' bank statement, my and their property ownership documents, proof of employment for everyone, letter of financial support, other liquid assets (fixed deposits, mutual funds, etc). Letter of explanation along with study plan. One big change - last time my agent only used a CA report for proof of funds. I applied without a CA net worth report. Country - IndiaCongrats buddy...what major changes did you make in ur 2nd application? Which country
Okay, cool! But will a CA Report affect our visa processing? CA report with other essential documents will be okay right?A lot of financial documents - My and my parents' bank statement, my and their property ownership documents, proof of employment for everyone, letter of financial support, other liquid assets (fixed deposits, mutual funds, etc). There are no set timelines for this. You just have to wait I guess.Hey everyone
Does anybody know how long the review of eligibility usually takes? It's been 2 weeks since my status changed to "we are reviewing whether u meet the eligibility requirements"
The CA report won't affect your processing time. IRCC doesn't mention anywhere they need a CA report, but apparently, applicants use it anyway to show strong domestic ties. So as long as you have covered other essential documents, you're good to go.Okay, cool! But will a CA Report affect our visa processing? CA report with other essential documents will be okay right?
