Any updates or movement from the Halifax Office?

Just noticed this thread here. Got my tracker updated today, with the ceremony scheduled for the 25th. I have applied on September 2020 and got decision made about 20 days ago.

Was hoping that it would take long enough for an in-person ceremony, but that's it. I'll still try to ask about the possibility, but I believe their answer would be "no problem, just wait indefinitely until there are no more COVID cases".

This gives me hope. I want this process to be over.

Hello, forgot to update this thread, I received the invite to the Oath ceremony (scheduled Wed Nov 17th) the wait is almost over...I heard that things are moving in the Halifax office. my stats are in my signature.

So, it's done. I gave up on trying to wait for in-person ceremonies, as I can't see any positive changes happening on pandemic restrictions in the short term. But Halifax seems to be moving faster now. I know of at least other 3 friends who had their ceremonies earlier this month.

Ours was yesterday, attended by 73 people (~40 Zoom connections). Apparently, there were people from other Maritime provinces as well, but I can't say for sure. They really put some effort to make it a special moment for us, so it wasn't awful at all. Well, except for the part where we wait for one hour, awkwardly staring at each other's faces. And people singing O Canada with their mics unmuted...

After a long wait of close to 2.5 years, I finally received my oath invitation this morning from the Halifax office. The ceremony now scheduled for Tuesday 7th December..

Looks like our files are finally moving in the right direction...
