Hi,

I went through several previous threads on raising TRV for minors who are non citizens of Canada and came across different posts explaining different situations. During Pandemic, the situation was really tough for the last 2 years for all sorts of applicants but now that the pandemic situation has eased, I am not sure if I have to first apply for my child's TRV or apply sponsorship visa 1st and then apply TRV. Request to share your expert thoughts regarding my confusion.

I read a post about assessment of duel intent but it does not say anything about dependent child.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/visitors/dual-intent-applicants.html

I am also planning to raise TRV for my parents along with my baby's. Is it a good idea? What are your thoughts about it?

Thanks in advance for your reply

If you are in Canada you can apply for both. You must be in Canada to sponsor you child if you are a PR. If you are abroad you can try and see if you are granted a TRV for the child.

I do live in Canada as a PR. Thanks for the clarification.
