So about the hearing timeline, will it start after surrendering passport or since submission of BOC?

That timeline is far from typical. Most typical wait 1-2 years for a hearing.

Canuck my security status has been 12 months overdue but still not started yet
In the atip notes even they don’t generate new due date

There are no set timelines for asylum claims. There is a huge backlog.
