Special Measures for Residents Affected by Alberta Flooding
Temporary and permanent residents who have been affected by the flooding throughout Alberta will have application fees waived and statuses automatically extended, said Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).
Massive flooding throughout the province of Alberta has resulted in the loss of homes and property. Because of this, CIC has implemented special measures to assist individuals who need to
- Apply for urgent immigration documents;
- Extend work or study permits; or
- Replace destroyed immigration documents
- The special measures will remain in place until September 19, 2013.
Canadian Embassy in Egypt Closed Temporarily
Due to security concerns, the Canadian embassy in Cairo, Egypt has been closed until further notice.
