Hi

I am a Canadian citizen. I recently got married and applied to sponsor my wife under family class. The application would take a while in processing. I was wondering if there is any way to apply for a temporary visit visa for my wife. Would it interfere with the application that I already submitted. I would appreciate any help.

Thank you

Yes, she can apply for a TRV (a visitor visa). To get one, she has to provide proof of ties to her home country. They are difficult to get for people who have a spouse in Canada, but some have managed to get one. It will not interfere with her PR application.

What country is she from?

Unless she has a high amount of educational, financial, and/or career ties in Pakistan that would convince a visa officer that she will return (despite the fact that her spouse is Canada), it's very unlikely that she would get a visitor visa.
