Question : Background check for Visitor Visa

I opened a thread about this before. Now I have Updates.

2 weeks ago, when the IRCC emailed me back, they sent me a different control panel to monitor the visa status. When I first checked this panel, it was in Biometrics ( In progress ) , Eligibility (Not Started ) , Background Verify( Not Started ) status. When I checked today. Biometric complete, Eligibility Complete, Background Verify In Proccess status. Does this indicate that My File has started to be checked? Why is there still no movement in the old panel? Will the old panel be retired?


Background check started last week. How long does the background check take on average? And does the Visa processing time include a Background check? For example, where I applied, the processing time is 185 days, is the background check included in these 185 days?

Now, I also see the problem same you. My Application Status Tracker changed to Closed but Background Verification still In progress. I don't know it Approved or Refused
Can you help to share your case with me?

Yes, my application was approved 16 days after I opened this topic.
