IELTS or CLB

Hello friends now a very important question what will be considered for language efficiency CLB or IELTS.We have booked for a date in January 2015,please advise

CLB itself is not a language exam. CLB levels translates to IELTS or CELPIP exam score. (or in other words, you take CELPIP or IELTS exam to obtain a CLB)

For example, CLB 7 is equal to 7,7,7,7 in CELPIP or 6,6,6,6 in IELTS-GT

Thank you so much.So we can take up the IELTS test that's good as we already have registered for a date in January.And as for CLB can you please explain how they assess or how it works?Would be grateful for your help.

As long as you are in IELTS general training (not academic), yes you are good.

As you might have already know, IELTS has 4 sections, reading, writing, listening, speaking. As for how they are marked and assessed, you can check out the IELTS forum here. (I know little about this, I just go ahead and do it )

Thank you so much ,will let my husband go ahead with the IELTS then and I will contact the CLB for myself
