Hi All,
I know there are tons of threads on this topic in the forum but I want to start a new discussion for those who plan to leave Canada after they mail their application under the new roles.
I know the CIC clearly mentions, yes you can but taking in mind that you have to maintain the PR status till you give the Oath.

In my case,
So, my questions are:

In my case,
- I mailed my application under new roles and it is delivered today (Oct 16, 2017).
- My eligibility period is from October 2012 to October 2017. I got the PR in October 2014
- Last five years, 30-40 days of travels outside the country.
- October 2012 to October 2014; Study Permit and live in Canada.
- October 2014 to October 2017; Permanent Resident and live in Canada.
So, my questions are:
- You think guys this is okay? no risks? The point is the job offer I have in the US is very attractive for me and I doubt I will get a similar one if I wait in Canada for another 12-16 month till my application is approved. However, I will be nervous in the US till I get my application approved.
- I know I have to update CIC with my new address and also if I am leaving Canada for more than 2 weeks. So this is okay to send to CIC that I am traveling to US for a year? I can provide them with an alternative Canadian Mailing Address.
