Hey! were you able to get a date sooner than what you were getting initially? did calling or writing to embassy help? In a similar boat - was called to do an in-person after sending documents for dropbox. Now i don't see dates for next one year. however if i start a new application, i can see...

Commuting to Ann Arbor once every month (physical office location/WFH)

Thank you for clarifying. that sounds reasonable. Would there be any concerns when the time comes for H-1b extension? Does USCIS question one being out of the US back and forth for large intervals?

Commuting to Ann Arbor once every month (physical office location/WFH)

Thank you very much for the reply and help as always! :) Both of us have valid visa. We just had concerns about CBP Officer questioning us about home office work in Michigan. Like we are going from one home in Canada to another Home in US just to work. So does this raise any alarms? One more...

Hello everyone, Seeking help on my scenario where my physical work location is in Ann Arbor which is operating in hybrid model. My employer is okay if I be at the office once a while and remote otherwise. My wife is a remote worker and works from our home in Warren, MI. We both are H-1Bs and...

Attemp softlanding or just quarantine and return

better to stick with one plan than switching options based on circumstances at the POE. Best would be to just tell them that you are here for good but you have goods in the GTF list which you plan to move some time later (don't know when). Enter, quarantine, get you basic stuff done, wait for...

    Entry with expired COPR

Guess that will be the best course of action - to wait for the extension. IDK why, but the delay to provide extension is endless. Hope they speed up and people are able to travel soon.

Seattle- Vancover: H1b Remote work in canada

If you are outside of US, any kind of immigration rule doesn't apply to you. The same goes for your H-1B extension. They won't care about what you do outside US. Inside US you should abide by all the laws. When you're in the US you have to work within the Metropolitan Statistical Area that is...

Work in Canada for three weeks work from home

There's no limit if you're on H-1B. As long as your employer is okay with continuing paying you. The H-1 and immigration rules apply only if you're inside the US. Don't risk beyond 30 days if you plan to use AVR. If you have stamp, you can stay as long as you want (obviously with a fear in mind)

New Rule for already approved PR applicants

The link does show the most recent update date but does not show 'what' got updated on that day. This update you're referring to came on the morning of 07/10. I travelled from the US after that and know several people who did complete the process. There's no reason for them to deny you PR status...

Plz Help!!! H1B Driver License Question

You leave the US within the 60 day grace period, your H-1B gets paused. DL remains valid until the date that's printed on it. Unless it gets revoked due to some discrepancy in your status (which won't happen if you don't abuse the grace period)
