Why I don't know, I dint serve military, 4 yeast in Canada, I don't have any criminals record. I'm confused a lot and Im afraid of long wait. My background check start at Nov 28, 2023...

Don't tell me that, my working visa is until Feb 2025.

I got email from my mp "Unfortunately, due to the additional review required on the security assessments, the normal processing times no longer apply for this application. We have to give our outside partnered organization time to complete their review and submit them to IRCC." I don't why...

I got respond from MP. Sadly I'm stuck on Security check. Its have been 5 moths since they started to do my background check Criminality – Passed Security – In progress (additional review required) I hope they will finish soon I don't want to wait many months.

Noting for me, I call them last Friday, since it was week and half from due date for respond about background check , off course nothing. Lady over the phone just said I'm so sorry but they dint respond. I don't know what to do, should I write a email to MP?

That is relief for you, for me its 14 moths pass and still waiting. I'm thinking to write to MP, if he can do anything with my application. At this moment I just want to finish this process its taking so long, is decision to be positive or negative I even don't care anymore.

I'm also stuck on Security from Nov 29, 2023 I called three times IRCC nothing new just its still in process.

Same here stuck on background check, I just want to finish this its taking so long, and of course mental health and anxiety are big part of this. I just get my GCMS note's like 30 min ago

I see that I'm not the only one who is applied in February, I did submit on Feb 28 and have been on background check since Nov 29. Twice I called IRCC and I got the same answer sill on a background check.

Guys how are you deal with anxiety from the long wait, this process is real torture for me. I did call again ircc to see is there any update and still nothing on background check, but lady said that she will leave a note to agent since is close or pass deadline or something. I don't understand...

Question for Tacker I can see update date was change today, but nothing new at the application history. Is this mean anything? I'm still on background check.
