Can anyone pls tell the answers for listening third section ? The one with volunteers/elderly people.

Specifically the sentence completion ones.

Anybody knows the correct answer of IELTS GT Reading test section 3? If anyone has confidently written the answer then please share..
I have written..
Vikney --> Animal Instinct
Greece --> Sun, water and something else
China --> dont remember
Italy --> dont remember

Vikney --> Animal Instinct: yes it is correct
Greece --> Sun, water and something else: no this was not the correct answer: greece were mentioned in the 4th paragraph: the first paragraph on the second page: i think it was relatd to sailing at night
China --> they did not understand the use of the inatrument at first
Italy --> they kept a secret; or something like that

1. F i think it is correct; i have also answered as False
2. NG it is also correct: i have also mentioned NG
3, NG i think i have written True; the instrument could be used ashore; thus was mentioned in paragragh related to italy
4. T this is also correct ; this was also True

Line match:
direction - A ; it was in paragraph B as it was related to East West direction: south north was mentioned in paragraph A
first longitude - E ; first logitude was in para D: the second last paragraph: it was about knots in the rope idea by some famous sailor: columbus i think
sounding reeds - C : i could not find it
don't have enough knowledge - B : yes they were chinese who dont understand to use the compass

1. Movement was the last question. I asked for the 3rd section answers abt elderly.

2. I stressed on movement earlier because I am on the brink as mentioned above. So every answer counts.

Yes tbh, I don't think I have anything wrong in the 1-20, and 30-40 (Except "movement/s").
So if I need 35/40 for a band 8, I think I might just manage it if I have 6/10 correct in the third section. 4 are correct I think the one with where to get items (Museum / relatives etc).

So still hoping for an outside chance. Fingers crossed.

I would differ on this :
In the 3rd section, I think one of the answers was "Student's Relative" in which the speaker said that her grandmother/mother would definitely have the stuff. I think this was instead of local library. I dont remember using this option.


However, I dont remember if the answer was "Stones" or "Stone" in the last section. I think I wrote stone.

• He told that her grandmother runs a local library in which she holds...So the answer would be local library
• It's stone
