hi everyone, I submitted our sponsorship application on March 26, and today I received a confirmation email saying they have received the application, it also contains an application number in it. is it the AOR? I tried to link it to my CIC account and track its process but I couldn't find the application. Can I start tracking its process now or I should wait? thanks in advance
It is AOR - "Acknowledgment of Receipt ". It may take a few days before you can track your application on the trackers.

THANKS. YEAH I tried to use both the application status tracker and to link the application to my CIC account, and neither of them worked, I assume I need to wait for a few more days

Hi everybody, good afternoon!
I thank you all for information you share and for this community, it is hard to wait in limbo-so to speak- all by yourself, here gives a sense of community...
The question I have/the reason I write under this post is: I checked, also put my data in, the tracking excel eric786110 shared, I see many cases with average of-give or take-60 days between the submission to approval in principle, which confuses me because whichever the source based on, either Youtube videos or a consultant, I was expecting a 6 months to 9 months process.
So, am I wrong, if so what do I miss or inland process goes that fast usually? I do not want to set my expectations to 2 months, then turn the 6 months waiting to a torture:D Thank you all for help and wish you a smooth process.

Its weird, In the AOR email I received, the UCI is my(sponsor) UCI number and the application number is our sponsorship application number. isn't it supposed to the principle's UCI number? I tried to check the application's status or link it to my portal, none of them worked! is there any other website I should try to check our application's status? I tried both with my(spencer's) UCI and my wife(principle's) UCI number to link the application on IRCC website and create a new account on the PR portal but as I mentioned, neither worked! any help appreciated!

URGENT I submitted my application yesterday. Just Realized if below is my mistake or Not. IMM 5533 Document Checklist for Sponsoring Spouse.
I am Permanent Resident Living In Canada. I answered N/A to following question. My file is going to return?

Q2. Are you (the sponsor) a Canadian citizen living outside Canada? No or Yes
- I wrote N/A as I am not Canadian Citizen but Permanent resident living in Canada. Did I had to still select no?

However, in IMM 1344 under sponsor eligibility requirement, I answered NO for the same question and Yes for (Do you reside in Canada?)
Please guide what should I do? Will my file gonna be return for this mistake?
Should I submit my file again? and revoke the one I just summited yesterday?

Have anyone faced similar situation?
Thanks for help in advance.

We did. We received AOR on Mar 20th and applied for OWP on Apr 4th. Still pending
I am confused, can I apply under my spouse's AOR or do I have to wait for mine. He received AOR on April 19,2024 but after that we haven't received anything.

Can you please advise what you mean 'by a spouse's AOR'? We applied for my husband's sponsorship case (he is PA and I'm sponsor), he received AOR and then we applied for OWP for him.

I am talking about the same post. My spouse is Canadian citizen and I am the principal applicant, My spouse received the AOR email. I was just asking, if we can apply on based on that.
Yes, you can and actually you should. The AOR that OWP applies to is this one since it refers to your case.

You are welcome! So it actually took us a few days to be able to see our case in the ircc portal (the client version one). We have a paid rep so I cannot advise regarding the GcKey portal.
