I think for India it has to do with the diplomats and consulate officials who were expelled last year.

You can do your medical and attach it as an upfront medical. Could save you some time ultimately.

Hey where are you seeing 22 weeks mentioned as processing time? It shows 20 weeks on IRCC's site. Is it based on any processed applications that you know of?

I applied on 5th December and had my upfront medical updated on 19th January. No movement since then.

The idea of your passport being in international mail should be enough of a deterrent to the first idea.

Yes similar situation. Applied on 5th December 2023. Biometrics on file from a previous application and medical updated on 19th January. The processing time increase is pretty insane.
