I’ve applied for pr in May, 2023. My work permit was going to expire in July 16th, 2024. I’ve applied for wp extension in April 22nd, 2024 and got approved. Received physical one too. They did not ask for biometric or any other information.

Hi everyone, I received my original work permit today. Its my first time extension as a convention refugee. My SIN number is expiring same date as my first work permit. Do I need to go to the service Canada with my new open wp to get new number or extend my current SIN? Thank you.

Since you are not refugee you can go.

Hi, Mine was going to expire middle of july. But I applied April 22nd. It’s up to you. U can apply even a month before I believe. Because when you submit your application they send a letter which says you can keep working until decision.

You have to wait until your hearing and when you receive positive decision you can.

Since you have rtd you need visa.
